Lindahl at Legora Precedent Summit in New York – on AI and the future of law
Lindahl's CIO Axel Hedberg and Partner Viktor Wihlstrand attended the Swedish AI company Legora's flagship event Precedent Summit in New York last week. Precedent brought together industry leaders to discuss how AI is transforming the legal sector – and what it takes to help shape the development rather than simply follow it.
One highlight was the launch of Legora's new client portal, a platform with the ambition to transform how law firms and clients collaborate. But the most valuable insights came from the strategic discussions about the legal industry's rapid digital transformation and how artificial intelligence is changing legal work.
"The lasting impression from Precedent is that Legora has made tremendous progress in a short time in building the future workplace platform for lawyers. The rapid development places significant demands on lawyers; both to learn to work in new ways and to develop working methods that align with AI tools," says Axel Hedberg, CIO at Lindahl law firm.
"What was most interesting about the event were the overarching discussions about the legal sector's development and the impact AI is having on us as industry players. It's clear that we as an industry are facing major changes, and it's essential not just to keep up, but also to lead."
For Lindahl, it is central to be at the forefront when it comes to legal tech and AI-driven innovation. The focus both now and going forward is on integrating AI and new digital tools in a way that creates genuine business and operational value for both our clients and colleagues. By actively exploring and implementing new technology, Lindahl can continue to deliver the proactive and solution-oriented advice that clients expect – whilst maintaining what has always been central: our commitment to our clients' success and the ability to tailor advice to each organisation's unique needs.
Lindahl's participation at Precedent Summit is part of the firm's long-term work to understand, develop and implement AI in its operations, in order to continue being a leading player in a legal industry undergoing change.
