Lindahl acts as adviser to Fagersta Municipality on the acquisition of Vattenfall's shares in Västerbergslagens Energi AB

Lindahl has acted as adviser to Fagersta Municipality on the acquisition of Vattenfall's shares in Västerbergslagens Energi AB in a transaction worth approximately SEK 1.4 billion.

Fagersta Municipality and Ludvika Kommun Stadshus AB have each acquired half of Vattenfall's 50.6 per cent shareholding in Västerbergslagens Energi AB. At the same time, Västerbergslagens Energi AB has transferred all shares in its subsidiary Västerbergslagens Elförsäljning AB to Vattenfall AB. The purchase sum paid by Fagersta Municipality and Ludvika Kommun Stadshus AB amounts to approximately SEK 1,436 million. Taking of possession took place on 15 June 2026.

Västerbergslagens Energi AB operates district heating services in the municipalities of Fagersta, Ludvika and Norberg, with an annual production of 225 GWh.

Västerbergslagens Energi AB owns the subsidiary Västerbergslagens Elnät AB, which is responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of the regional grid and the local distribution network.

Lindahl's team consisted mainly of Mattias Prage, Alexander Hase, Anna Drogou, Maja Kristiansson-Gran, Joakim Sundbom and Isabella Mellberg.
